Working principle of puffing machine:
The extruder has a screw and a screw sleeve, which have the functions of mixing and kneading. The internal pressure continues to rise, up to 4Mpa, and the temperature continues to rise, up to 140 degrees Celsius. Within 3-7 seconds, the temperature and pressure increase sharply, and the organizational structure of the material changes, further gelatinizing the starch, denaturing the protein, destroying the crude fiber, and killing harmful bacteria such as salmonella. When high-temperature and high-pressure materials come out of the discharge port, the pressure is suddenly released in an instant, and the water is partially flashed. After cooling, the material takes on a loose and porous structure, and the expanded material takes on the shape of lumps, flocs or coarse chips.

Structure of puffed fish feed machine:
  1. The feeder is to ensure uniform and stable feeding, and the feeding amount is adjusted according to the rated current value of the extrusion motor. --Generally, an electromagnetic speed regulating motor or frequency converter is used to adjust the speed to change the feeding amount of the feeder. The outlet of the feed hopper is usually fed by a spiral auger to the extrusion and puffing section.
2. The expansion chamber is composed of screw, screw sleeve, template, clamping bone, etc. The screw and screw sleeve are combined in sections. The compression degree can be adjusted according to the type and requirements of the puffed feed, and the puffing degree of the puffed feed can be changed.
3. The expansion mechanism is divided into 3 sections according to its function and position in terms of collapse degree: Feeding section: This section has a larger screw pitch and mainly transports and compresses the material so that the material fills the spiral groove. Compression section: The screw groove in this section changes from deep to shallow along the direction of material movement to compress the material. Extrusion section: The screw groove is shallower, the pitch gradually becomes smaller, the extrusion force can reach 3.0-10Mpa, and the temperature can reach 120-150 degrees Celsius. This section has high pressure and high temperature, so the screw and sleeve are also easy to wear. The outlet of the extrusion section is a template. The shape of the template is designed with different die holes according to the needs of different feeds. The material is extruded from the die holes of the template and enters the atmosphere. The pressure and temperature drop sharply, causing its volume to expand rapidly, and the moisture content Rapid evaporation, dehydration and solidification become puffed material.
